What does directing my donation nationally versus locally mean?

If you select "national" on this donation form, your gift will be used to support girls from coast to coast and the organization's areas of greatest need. If you select "local" on this donation form and there is a local Girls on the Run council in your area, 88% of your donation will be given to the local council based on your billing zip code while the other 12% will be allocated towards program development and other initiatives that benefit girls nationally.
